The Role
We’re hiring a Head of Ventures, Nashville to lead our expansion into the music business. Based in Nashville, this leader will work exclusively with country artists and music-driven talent to develop creator-owned consumer products and lifestyle brands.
You’ll be responsible for driving the full venture development process — identifying whitespace opportunities, building business cases, structuring deals, and leading launches that align with both the artist’s influence and their audience’s demand.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with country artists, managers, labels, and agencies.
- Source new venture opportunities across Nashville’s music ecosystem.
- Negotiate deal terms, structures, and equity splits that maximize long-term value for creators.
- Analyze audience data, market trends, and category gaps to identify product-market fit.
- Translate artist influence into scalable businesses rather than one-off brand deals.
- Partner with GIG’s internal teams (product, creative, operations) to bring ventures from idea to market.
- Establish Nashville as GIG’s hub for music ventures.
- Develop and execute growth strategies to ensure ventures scale profitably.
- Focus on equity, ownership, and sustainability to build long-term enterprise value for artists.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in business development, venture building, entertainment, or brand strategy.
- Strong network and deep connectivity within Nashville’s music industry — artists, managers, labels, and agencies.
- Proven track record of originating, structuring, and closing partnerships.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: resourceful, strategic, data-driven, and execution-focused.
- Expertise in consumer products, lifestyle brands, and the creator economy.
- A builder at heart who thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
