As an Ophthalmic Photographer, you will be responsible for documenting specific disease processes through photography and other imaging devices as requested by the ordering provider.
Schedule: M-F 7:45-9 am start, 8 1/2 shift with 1/2 hour lunch
Responsibilities:
- Bring patients from waiting area into photography room
- Navigate through an EHR system in order to verify and document information in the EMR system including uploading files and photos to the patients chart
- Shoot accurate OCT's on both Zeiss and Heidelberg machines
- Take fundus photos on Zeiss, Eidon, and Optos cameras
- Inject and perform FA's and ICG's on multiple camera systems
- Perform a visual field and color vision tests
- Record patient information in Excel spreadsheets
- Troubleshoot camera or machine issues and communicate with tech support as needed
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with Humphrey Visual Fields, OCT's, angiograms, and fundus photos
- Able to work in dim lighting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ophthalmic Technician experience
