Position: Court Reporter III at Colorado Judicial Branch
Salary Range: $64,223.00 - $93,123.00 | FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Mission
The Judicial Department works to provide equal access to justice, contribute to public safety, and strengthen the rule of law across Colorado. Together our courts and probation departments are committed to impartial and timely dispute resolution; support for families, litigants, and victims; client rehabilitation; and meaningful community engagement.
Essential Functions
- Provides real time, verbatim court reporting services through stenographic shorthand for jury trials, preliminary hearings, motions hearings, and other applicable court proceedings.
- Manages and maintains records and prioritizes transcript production. Prepares required reports and documentation pursuant to Chief Justice Directive 05-03 and local policies and procedures.
- Ensures backup of all stenographic notes, rough drafts, and completed transcripts including reporter dictionaries, CAT software files, and stenographic machine files.
- Assists team members, works on various hearings and/or trials as a team, shares files and work product, and attends weekly meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Education and Experience Equivalency: Associate's degree or 2 years of college. OR additional related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.
- Work Related Experience: 1 to 3 years of court reporting experience.
- Licenses And Certifications: RPR certification through the NCRA plus meet Colorado standard for Realtime (94% accuracy on one of the applicable exams).
