As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home.

What You’ll Do

• Tutor online 1-on-1 with students, providing personalized instruction in Writing.
• Adapt lessons to different learning styles and personalize to student needs.
• Earn base contract rates starting at $18/hour, with pay increasing for specialized subjects and for continuing sessions with the same student (up to $40/hour).
• Get paid up to twice per week.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Work remotely using the Live Learning Platform; no commuting required.
• Be matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Leverage AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• We handle the logistics—you invoice for your tutoring sessions and we take care of payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Writing and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
