Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online SAT Writing and Language tutoring.
• Customize lessons to individual student needs and learning styles.
• Explain concepts clearly, adapt explanations, and track student progress.
• Use the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions and leverage available tutoring tools.
• Handle invoicing for sessions and participate in the payment workflow managed by Varsity Tutors.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in SAT Writing and Language and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation and How You’re Paid

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour with long-term sessions.
• Paid up to twice per week for sessions you conduct and invoice.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Tutor remotely using our platform — no commuting required.
