Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with students for online SAT Writing and Language tutoring. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys—from your home.

Compensation

Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $40.00/hr. Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You’ll earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student—reaching up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.

Responsibilities

• Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Provide personalized instruction for SAT Writing and Language and adapt to different learning needs.
• Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• Handle invoicing; the platform manages payments.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in SAT Writing and Language with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
