Job Description

We are seeking a Technology Lead - Java UI for a full-time, permanent position in Northbrook, IL.

Qualifications - Basic

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience with Java UI technologies.

Preferred

• At least 6 years of technology development and implementation experience.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (especially Agile XP), including paired programming and test-driven development.
• At least 6 years of experience in Java, JEE skills.
• At least 4 years of experience in Object-oriented JavaScript with one of AngularJS or ReactJS.
• Familiarity with tools like IntelliJ-IDE, Github, Spring Framework, MongoDB, Jenkins, Docker Toolbox, NodeJS.
• At least 4 years of experience in Extreme programming (for example, pair programming and test-driven development).
• At least 4 years of experience in the software development life cycle.
• Ability to work in a team in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
• Experience in technical skills and aptitude needed to meet/exceed delivery velocity expectations as a full-stack developer.
• Experience in the Insurance domain.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
