Description of Position

We’re looking for an experienced, passionate Senior Experiential Producer; someone who wants a home, a chance to grow and to help us grow. We’re a small but mighty agency who works on exciting experiential projects throughout the country with media, sports & luxury brands. Our productions range from TV premieres/screenings, press events, consumer activations, live shows and festivals. We have a low employee turnover rate and high client-retention. We need a unicorn who loves client management but also excels at budgeting & logistics.A team leader with a superior work ethic who thinks big and isn’t afraid of a challenge.

The Senior Producer role on HudsonGray’s Team has responsibility for overseeing the successful delivery of projects, from brief to execution. This role will ensure that client deliverables and project milestones are delivered on-time, on-budget and of a quality expected. Additionally, the Senior Producer will be responsible for strategic leadership of projects and the production team.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Complete management of projects, including client communication, financial, logistical and risk management; sometimes you will be the lead producer, sometimes you will be overseeing a junior team.
  • Management and mentoring of support team
  • Responsible for setting up every project and team for success with a focus on timelines, resource management, and close collaboration cross-departmentally.
  • Create a safe and productive work environment that encourages growth, collaboration, critical thinking, and mentorship.
  • Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot throughout each project. Offer solutions and guide the teams towards efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with Production & Design leadership to evaluate and create project schedules to ensure realistic deadlines are set and adhered to. Manage the team throughout to ensure schedule is adjusted as need be and maintains feasibility.
  • Support project teams on production planning to guarantee a smooth onsite experience including setting roles and responsibilities, building production schedules, and vetting operations and logistics.
  • Oversee budget generation and tracking; financial reconciliation for all projects
  • Creative ideation on RFP’s and pitching new business
  • Onsite management of events

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of eight years of experience in the Experiential/Event Industry with five at a senior level
  • Experiential agency experience required
  • Must live in the NYC area: hybrid in-office/remote position
  • Comfortable and capable managing executive-level clients with a hospitality-like focus
  • Experience managing a team of various level
  • Willingness to travel; many of our events are in key markets across the country
  • Strong understanding of the NYC production landscape (venues, vendors, permit rules) and familiarity with the LA market
  • Familiarity with permits required for events, including Special Event, TPA, DOB, working with various City-departments, etc
  • Familiarity with technical elements
  • Solution-oriented; relishes challenges, handles pressure well and can think on their feet and stay calm
  • P&L wizard – capable of generating and reconciling budgets $1M+
  • Service-industry oriented. Making the clients happy & the event a success is the top priority
  • Highly organized
  • Team player – calm, respectful, patient and supportive

Salary $130k – $160k
