Candidate will: Input patient intake forms with basic demographic, insurance, therapy, disease state information, and enter into our systems in a timely manner. Collaborate with members of sales, pharmacy and billing teams regarding authorization status Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, clinics and insurance companies to collect information. Collect patient insurance information from referral sources as needed in order to submit proper authorization requests. Communicate to patient any insurance coverage, copay concerns and issues, therapy details or answer patient questions regarding coverage details for both new and existing patients. Strong experience with checking benefits, eligibility, e.g., In & Out of Network along with verifying patient's Major Medical and Pharmacy Benefits. Strong experience with authorization requirements for home infusion, enteral and specialty biologic therapies. Submit 'clean' prior authorizations for new patients and follow up in a timely manner for acute, chronic & specialty patients. Coordinate subsequent authorization renewals and communicate information with all departments in an efficient and timely manner Re-verify insurance coverage for changes in medication orders Research and follow up on authorization denials Collaborates with case managers, payers, referral sources, home health agencies and intake staff to facilitate prompt initial authorizations and subsequent extensions/renewals Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Additional languages preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in particular situations Professional demeanor to interact with clients, insurance companies and referral sources Computer proficiency, medical terminology and knowledge of all Payer Contracts Requirements:

High School graduate or general education degree (GED). Two year insurance experience. Home infusion experience preferred. CPR or CareTend experience preferred. Strong experience with authorization requirements for home infusion, enteral and specialty biologic therapies preferred. Experience:

Authorization: 2 years (Required) Home Infusion: 1 year (Preferred) CPR+ and/or Caretend software: 1 year (Preferred) Insurance verification: 2 years (Required) Education:
