Symptone was founded to address gaps in medical resources for people of color. Many medical images and educational materials feature only white patients, making it harder to diagnose conditions on darker skin. We collect patient stories, raise awareness, and provide educational resources to promote equity in healthcare.
Symptone is seeking a social media coordinator to help amplify patient voices and grow our online presence. This role combines content creation and social media management to raise awareness about representation in medical education.
Responsibilities
Collect and curate patient stories through online forms
Turn stories into social media posts, graphics, or short educational content
Schedule and post content across platforms
Engage with followers and respond to comments/messages
Track engagement and provide feedback to improve content
Qualifications
Strong written communication skills
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
Interest in healthcare equity and advocacy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
