Overview
Sr Audio-Visual Technician at Medline Industries, LP. Location: Northern Illinois. This role supports Medline’s conference solutions, A/V systems, and events across specified offices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks on A/V systems.
- Support VIP meetings with A/V setup and monitoring.
- Set up and operate equipment for town halls, department meetings, and other large events.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and break-fix repairs to A/V equipment, including AMX touch-panels, Crestron A/V systems, displays, microphones, projectors, video conference endpoints, and portable A/V equipment.
- Set up, operate, and strike all A/V equipment required for events using portable equipment.
- Develop a deep understanding of signal flow of existing systems and determine the quickest resolution to get customers up and running during equipment failures.
- Conduct special projects to improve the A/V user experience, including major updates to A/V infrastructure and exploring new technologies.
- Maintain and develop an understanding of A/V signal routing, programming, and diagnostic actions.
- This is an onsite position with some limited work-from-home opportunities.
Preferred Skills and Background
- Knowledge of A/V operation, diagnostics, and real-time break-fix strategies.
- Basic networking concepts and desktop troubleshooting.
- Installation and wiring experience with both large and small A/V systems.
- Configuring AMX and Crestron devices.
- Teams and Zoom administration a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience/certification.
Relevant Work Experience
- At least 7 years installing and supporting Windows 7 and Windows 10 desktops.
- At least 5 years installing and configuring computer peripherals (external monitors, cameras, printers, scanners, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems (Windows 7/8.1/10) and Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016, 365.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certifications.
- Microsoft certifications in SCCM and Windows 7/10.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management technologies.
Salary and Benefits
The Anticipated Salary Range For This Position: $96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual. The actual salary varies based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For roles with fewer than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions and access to the Employee Assistance Program and other resources.
