Position
We have an immediate opening for an Account Director in our Los Angeles offices on the Film/Television/Streaming team. This is for someone with at least 7 years in media relations, strong press contacts, and a clear understanding of how to maneuver film or television releases, festivals, awards, and the evolving streaming landscape.
Role focus
You know the ins and outs of the television/film/streaming world, from red carpet premieres to developing strategic campaigns, ideation, and cross-channel engagement. You will work with talent, partners, vendors, and internal teams to bring entertainment moments to life. You may touch production companies, directors or content creators and see this as an opportunity to grow.
Responsibilities Include
- Leading account teams and managing projects from start to finish.
- Developing and executing comprehensive integrated media and communications strategies.
- Developing an impactful and trusting relationship with clients.
- Managing complex client issues and providing thoughtful counsel in stressful situations.
- Leading new business meetings and creating proposals as needed.
- Partnering and collaborating with senior level colleagues on integrated and bi-coastal accounts.
- Participating in new business meetings and creating proposals as needed.
- Training and mentoring junior staff on PR, media relations, and client management.
- Responding to client requests and ensuring timely, efficient service.
You Should Apply If
- You have at least 8 years of public relations experience, with a focus on film and television.
- You are a strong writer – persuasive, concise, creative, and quick.
- You have a growing list of relationships with entertainment media and can leverage them for opportunities.
- You are a strategic thinker, bring new ideas, and enjoy brainstorming.
- You have innate curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- You are incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
- You enjoy overdelivering and take pride in being part of something good.
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 a year
