Your new passion
- Portfolio management: Developing and implementing the business strategy for your portfolio of journals.
- Journal development: Manage and grow a key publishing portfolio by defining journal development plans aligned with our Thieme Science strategy.
- Quality and improvement: Continuous quality management and improvement on journal level regarding decisions on resources and service standards.
- Performance management: Ensure that KPIs are regularly monitored, reported and met, and that action is taken as needed.
- Networking, research community: Developing and expanding a network in our target groups.
- Collaboration: close and coordinated collaboration with colleagues within the international Thieme Science Unit.
You inspire us with this
- PhD or master’s degree preferably in life sciences or medicine
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the international academic publishing industry.
- Experience in transitioning journals to open access
- Expert in networking with societies and other key players
- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of publishing ethics, editorial policy, procedures, and practice
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills plus an entrepreneurial mindset
- Outstanding communication skills with stakeholders at all levels in written and spoken English.
