The Senior SEO Manager role presents an awesome opportunity to contribute across all facets of SEO in a fast-growing digital marketing agency. As the Senior SEO Manager on the Grit team, you will work closely with other SEO associates to drive SEO strategy, provide content SEO expertise, and manage reporting / analytics across SEO partnerships. He/she won’t be afraid to get their hands dirty updating meta titles, digging into performance data, or building links while also driving strategy discussions and supporting performance goals. The Senior SEO Manager role is client facing and has account management including duties such as client communications, running weekly meetings, presenting work and managing edits from clients. Our team is fast paced and highly collaborative, and this individual will work with clients across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, has a competitive spirit and brings a strong work ethic every day.
Responsibilities Quarterback SEO strategy discussions, present tactical plans and results to leadership
Drive SEO strategy across a variety of client partnerships, industries, and help drive company-wide SEO strategy
Analyze organic search landscapes to identify traffic opportunities that drive revenue growth
Analyze search intent, related keywords, gaps in competitors’ content, and formulate these conclusions into an effective content strategy
Drive cutting edge content strategy and work closely with copywriting team to develop and implement content strategy as well as creative and development teams to launch new pages
Experience with local SEO strategy and driving additional exposure through local search
Maintain a professional curiosity towards new SEO marketing trends and technologies
Demonstrate proficiency in deriving insights and next steps from marketing data
Comfortability overseeing weekly and monthly reporting and analysis on performance
Work directly with clients to achieve their goals and deliver on their scope of work. Including managing communications, weekly meetings, presenting work and managing edits from clients.
Coordinate with teammates and vendors to complete final project deliverables.
Support renewal of current contracts, onboarding of new clients, and audits for new business sales efforts.
5-7 years experience in SEO
Expert proficiency in Google Analytics and Google Search Console
Passionate about research and data analysis – evident in a high-level of Microsoft Excel capabilities
High proficiency with SEO tools, such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
Must be able to work to multiple deadlines and manage time efficiently
Entrepreneurial spirit and a default mindset to take initiative
High energy team player, competitive personality with a drive to win
Prior agency experience
Prior account management experience is a plus
Additional consideration given to experience with affiliate and ecommerce sites
