Steven Jacob Inc. is a small, high-end jewelry studio specializing in Mokume Gane, Damascus Steel and other custom wedding bands. We are seeking a Bench Jeweler & Studio Assistant to join our team. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, with a focus on jewelry making, stone setting, and supporting studio operations.

We are looking for someone who can take on some of the day-to-day jewelry production workload to free up time for more focus on growth opportunities. This position offers a chance to be part of a creative, detail-driven environment where craftsmanship, precision and authenticity are valued above all else. We continue to hold high standards of quality over quantity in everything we produce, and craft our pieces to last a lifetime.

Necessary Qualifications:

• Experience with jewelry making and bench work
• Stone setting knowledge
• Hand skills, attention to detail and ability to hold tight tolerances
• Comfort using equipment and machinery

Responsibilities:

• Traditional jewelry making, soldering, finishing, polishing and stone setting
• Assisting in machining operations, lathe, hydraulic press, rolling mill, laser welder, laser engraver, anodizer and mass finisher
• Packaging and shipping finished jewelry and sizing bands
• Customer service and sales support
• Website updates and management (basic content upkeep, price adjustment, etsy and squarespace platforms)
• Product photography and potential photo editing
• Social media support and content creation
• Supporting studio operations (cleaning, organizing, servicing equipment)

• Excited to learn new skills but also steady and reliable with routine production work
