Employment Type: Direct Hire/Full Time/Permanent Compensation: Salary up to $114k (depending on experience) We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team, working on cutting-edge initiatives that push the boundaries of design and engineering. Key Responsibilities: Lead Siemens NX CAD development for complex mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for aerospace and defense applications. Execute engineering designs and drafts, ensuring compliance with ASME Y14.5 standards. Develop robust modeling practices to ensure interoperability and integrity for machine parts, supplier parts, common hardware, and large assemblies. Spearhead the design of various configurations considering manufacturing methods such as sheet metal, extrusions, CNC, vacuum forming, and 3D printing. Manage engineering drawings and release plans. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to discuss design problems and facilitate integration decisions. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a mechanical designer in defense/aerospace. Expert proficiency in Siemens NX. Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) according to ASME Y14.5 standards. Knowledgeable in various manufacturing techniques like sheet metal fabrication, CNC, and 3D rapid prototyping. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
