These systems are central to enabling users to connect, organize, and explore their data efficiently and intuitively.

You'll partner closely with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, and data professionals to envision and deliver deeply technical, yet user-friendly experiences that simplify complex workflows and bring structure and intelligence to raw data. What You'll Do: Lead and deliver high-impact design work across data-centric workflows like data modeling, schema editing, entity relationships, data quality, connectivity, and search index configuration.

Simplify technical complexity and translate backend concepts into intuitive, human-centered workflows for data engineers and analysts.

Collaborate closely with PMs and engineering to shape product requirements, align on priorities, and ensure design quality from concept through implementation.

Use appropriate levels of fidelity, conceptual to wireframes to high fidelity designs to communicate ideas clearly and drive alignment across stakeholders.

Create detailed design specifications and documentation for components, interactions, and states.

Contribute to and expand our internal design system to support consistency and scale across our data platform experiences.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying UX gaps and proposing scalable design solutions for our most technical user personas.

What You Bring:

Deep experience designing enterprise or technical software for data professionals - especially in domains such as data platforms, BI tools, ETL systems, or metadata management

10 - 15 yrs of experience in designing enterprise software products is a must

A strong point of view on system design, information architecture, and interaction patterns for complex UIs.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with engineers and data architects on technically rigorous products.

A portfolio demonstrating elegant, functional design work across complex workflows involving structured data.

Excellent communication skills - able to articulate trade-offs, defend design decisions, and present complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools.

Growth mindset and desire to work in a fast-paced, ambitious team environment where craft and quality matter deeply.

The estimated annual salary range for this role is $200k - $225k per year in the San Francisco Bay Area.
