The Sales Operations & Governance (SO&G) organization at McKesson seeks a highly skilled, innovative, and detail-oriented Senior Marketing Operations Specialist. This crucial role will serve as the operational backbone for our campaigns, communications, and content, ensuring project excellence across five core SO&G functions while offering comprehensive support to our Customer Operations segment, specifically the Sales Ops Center of Excellence. In this position, you will lead editorial planning and project workflows, collaborate with business leaders, and enhance our engagement with both internal and external stakeholders across SO&G, Remote Sales & Account Management, and Masters Pharmaceutical. This role is highly collaborative, situated on the Marketing & Communications leadership team, with influence on all facets of our creative and strategic communication efforts. Key Responsibilities Marketing Operations Leadership

Take ownership of the integrated marketing and communications calendar to align all initiatives with SO&G's strategic goals. Lead cross-functional project planning and execution from initiation to delivery, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met across teams and channels. Oversee campaign operations and creative workflows for various initiatives across SO&G, Customer Operations, Remote Sales, and Masters.

Editorial & Content Strategy Oversight

Guide the editorial planning process across multiple channels (email, SharePoint, digital, social, event content, and internal communications) ensuring cohesive messaging and brand consistency. Maintain a forward-looking content roadmap in collaboration with senior stakeholders and content creators. Ensure all messaging reflects McKesson's tone, voice, and values, while being tailored to key audience segments.

Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

Work alongside business leaders to understand their goals and priorities, transforming them into actionable communication plans. Serve as a strategic advisor regarding campaign approaches, audience engagement, and creative development. Position the Shared Services Business Solutions (SSBS) team as a trusted partner and strategic asset throughout SO&G.

Creative Program Support

Collaborate with internal creative teams and external vendors to execute campaigns across various formats—print, digital, and multimedia. Identify methods to streamline creative requests, enhance intake processes, and amplify impact. Contribute innovative ideas to key initiatives, such as national sales meetings, product launches, recognition campaigns, and customer outreach.

Analytics & Optimization

Establish and monitor KPIs for communication and campaign performance; provide reporting and insights that drive continuous improvement. Consistently seek opportunities to optimize processes, promote innovation, and enhance stakeholder satisfaction.

Minimum Requirement Graduate degree or equivalent and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is required. Critical Skills 7 years of experience in marketing operations, communications, or program management, preferably within a large matrixed organization or healthcare setting. Experience in leading editorial planning and executing campaigns across internal and external channels. Strong track record of stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration. Additional Skills Exceptional project management and organizational skills; experience with Asana or similar project management tools is an advantage. Strategic thinker with creativity, able to translate complex ideas into engaging campaigns. Strong communicator and collaborator; skilled at building relationships and influencing across functions. Analytical mindset; adept at using data to inform decisions and streamline processes. This is determined by various factors, including performance, experience, skills, equity, regular job market analyses, and geographical considerations. The displayed pay range aligns with McKesson's pay philosophy and adheres to applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other forms of compensation, such as annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities, may be available. Base Pay Range for this position: $106,200 - $177,000.
