Kansas City metro (Lee's Summit showroom)
and looking for a Lead Kitchen Designer who embodies our values and is ready to help homeowners design and build their dream spaces. At Cabinet IQ, our mission is to be the kitchen remodeling hero for proud homeowners. Every project is guided by our core values: Create a positive impact on our clients, our community, and each other Be a lifetime student-always learning new design trends, tools, and techniques Do what is right, not what is easy-because integrity builds trust Mind the details-from clean measurements to flawless orders Take accountability for your actions and inactions All while delivering nothing less than a 6-star service, every time What You'll Do Meet with homeowners (in-showroom and in-home) to uncover their vision, lifestyle needs, and budget Capture accurate dimensions, photos, and site details Build functional, stunning designs in 2020 Design (Flex) that balance creativity, budget, and client expectations Present designs with clarity and confidence, guiding clients to smart decisions without pressure Prepare precise orders (cabinetry, countertops, finishes) and hand off cleanly to project operations Stay engaged throughout the client journey to ensure a smooth experience and a 6-star outcome Uphold showroom standards, samples, and displays; contribute to local marketing and community engagement Who You Are 3+ years of proven kitchen/bath design and sales experience, with a strong portfolio Proficiency in 2020 Design (Flex) (or equivalent with readiness to transition) Confident communicator-comfortable discussing budgets and guiding selections with honesty and empathy Detail-driven, organized, and able to juggle multiple projects Curious and growth-minded-a lifetime student eager to stay ahead of design trends A team player who thrives on accountability and doing the right thing What We Offer Competitive base salary plus uncapped commissions PTO and Holidays Professional development opportunities Employee discounts on kitchen products and services Inbound lead flow from marketing, so you can focus on design and sales A modern showroom with premium cabinetry, countertops, and visual tools Clear growth path: Lead Designer Design/Sales Manager General Manager for the right person Training and ongoing support through the Cabinet IQ franchise system Schedule & Location Areas Full-time, primarily weekdays; occasional evenings/Saturdays to meet client needs Jackson, Clay & Platte Counties Our Commitment We believe diverse perspectives create better designs and experiences.
