**The Impact You'll Make:**
As an experienced Audio Engineer, you will be a pivotal creative professional, leading and coaching talent both in-studio and virtually. You will be responsible for managing and executing high-quality audio production across a diverse range of projects, including video and audio studio recordings, on-location video shoots, and comprehensive podcast series. Your strong technical background in audio equipment setup, mixing, editing, and sound design, combined with exceptional communication skills, will enable you to direct voice talent and collaborate seamlessly with creative teams. You will play a key role in shaping the auditory experience of critical marketing and communications media content, directly contributing to the client's success and global reach.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Set up and operate audio equipment for video recordings and live webcasts, ensuring flawless execution.
* Accurately mix clean recordings for interviews and leadership messages using multichannel audio boards.
* Record video podcasts and sessions utilizing remote-recording platforms.
* Direct voice talent to capture optimal audio takes and record/mix onsite voice-over sessions in dedicated audio studios.
* Craft compelling audio intros, outros, sound design elements, music, and stingers to enhance final products.
* Create final audio mixes for edited videos, ensuring professional quality.
* Edit multi-camera video podcasts and meticulously archive all media files.
* Manage all phases of podcast production, including recording audio and video using cloud-based platforms.
* Clean audio to a fine degree of precision, generate and correct transcripts, and encode audio for both streaming efficiency and quality.
* Proactively identify, research, and recommend new audio technologies, equipment needs, updates, enhancements, and procedures, staying abreast of industry developments.
* Establish and champion best practices for effective creative and technical audio-editing processes, methods, techniques, and audio/visual equipment operation.
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or equivalent training and work experience.
* A compelling digital creative portfolio showcasing expertise in audio for videos/podcasts, audio mixing, video-editing abilities, conceptual thinking, and sound design skills.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as an audio engineer, supporting projects both on-site and virtually within a dynamic media production environment.
* Extensive experience in audio and video podcast production and editing, including working with multiple remote feeds and performing advanced sound design post-production.
* Proven experience with audio mixing in-studio for live shows and on-location for broadcast, agency, or corporate settings.
* Expertise in various microphones, mixers, stand-alone recorders, and CPU-based recording tools, with the ability to expertly set up microphones for talent.
* Comprehensive understanding of signal flow in studio environments, including various cable types, connections, and redundancies.
* Strong grasp of audio features in video cameras and the ability to seamlessly interface from audio boards, adept at navigating and resolving connection issues between different systems.
* Technical expertise in leading industry-standard audio and video-editing tools, with a strong command of professional audio workstations and video editing suites.
* Proficiency with standard office productivity suites and both Mac and Windows operating systems.
* Detail-oriented with a genuine passion for delivering high-quality audio and video content.
* Excellent project management, client service, communication, interpersonal, coaching, and teaming skills.
* Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think on your feet and resolve issues effectively, especially during live webcasts.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $39.26 - $43.62 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
