The Internship
Are you passionate about social justice, storytelling, and global solidarity? AMI is seeking a remote Social Media & Photography Intern to help us share powerful stories of youth in agriculture, women leaders, and rural changemakers in Africa and the U.S. This is a 10-hour/week unpaid internship, open to undergraduate or graduate students in any discipline.
Responsibilities
- Curate and create engaging social media content highlighting AMI’s U.S. and international projects
- Support photography and visual storytelling for donor updates, reports, and presentations
- Assist with documenting the 2025 convening in the U.S. Black Belt Region
- (Optional) Contribute to website updates and visual design projects

Qualifications
- Strong interest in social justice, agriculture, and nonprofit communications
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn and Facebook)
- Visual storytelling, photography, or editing experience preferred
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with a small, committed team
