Akkodis is seeking a Technical Writer for a contract with a client in Columbus, OH. The candidate must have hands-on experience with Articulate 360 or Rise and a strong background in technical writing and instructional design.

Rate Range: $41/hour to 49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Writer job responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and manage DevXP-led training programs, including Secure Code Warrior, Risk Champions, and Secure by Design.
  • Develop and maintain self-guided learning content using tools like Articulate 360 and Rise, published via Workday Learning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy in training materials.
  • Apply instructional design and UX principles to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Leverage software engineering and cybersecurity knowledge to align content with technical and security standards.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions and manage documentation lifecycle, including updates, reviews, and version control.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, or content development.
  • Proficiency in using Articulate 360 and/or Articulate Rise to create engaging self-guided learning content.
  • Strong background in coordinating cybersecurity-related training programs and publishing content in platforms like Workday Learning.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $49.00 per hour
