Job Details
Job Summary: The Designer manages client projects from concept through post-installation, ensuring an exceptional experience and successful delivery of all design elements. This role collaborates closely with clients, sales teams, and internal departments to bring design visions to life while maintaining accuracy, timelines, and budget alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee client projects from design through installation, ensuring satisfaction with both process and final product. 2. Partner with national sales representatives on client presentations, quotes, orders, and follow-ups for furniture, wall coverings, and related materials. 3. Develop and present design concepts including space planning, lighting, ceiling layouts, furniture, and finishes aligned with client needs and budget. 4. Guide clients through final design selections and manage approval packages, including drawings and documentation. 5. Prepare detailed construction drawings for contractors, architects, and clients, updating plans as changes occur. 6. Respond promptly to client and contractor inquiries to maintain smooth communication and project flow. 7. Utilize AutoCAD to create drawings and building plans; coordinate finish samples as needed. 8. Collaborate across departments to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule. 9. Stay current on design trends by engaging with vendor reps, maintaining the design library, and pursuing educational opportunities. 10. Maintain accurate project records and communications in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field. 5+ years of experience in interior design, space planning, or commercial design. Proficient in creating 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of interior design principles, materials, and practices. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with generating purchase orders and managing project documentation. Background in design-related sales is a plus.
