Overview
The Discord / Gaming Community & Creator Manager will oversee the execution of a creator-first program designed to provide influencers with genuine access, exclusive insights, and opportunities to develop differentiated content. This hybrid role blends community management with creator relationship management, ensuring creators feel supported, informed, and inspired while cultivating an engaged online community. Acting as the bridge between internal teams and the creator ecosystem, this role is responsible for day-to-day Discord management, creator onboarding and recruitment, campaign coordination, and performance tracking to ensure smooth program delivery.
Type: Contract, remote, but LA candidates are preferred due to any on-site meetings
Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week, PST schedule, starting daily around 9 or 10 AM
Duration: 2 months
Pay: $50 – $55/hr, paid weekly
Discord / Gaming Community & Creator Manager Requirements
- 3 years of experience in community management, influencer marketing, or creator partnerships, ideally with a gaming client
- Proven track record managing online communities, particularly Discord, and creator programs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate brand goals into authentic, creator-facing messaging
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with major creator platforms including Discord, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Instagram
- Passion for gaming with an understanding of fan-driven spaces and influencer culture
- Bonus: Experience with gaming IP, asset management, or campaign reporting
- Availability to start quickly (as soon as one week)
- Remote role, with preference for candidates based in Los Angeles for occasional in-person meetings
- Estimated 30–40 hours per week
Discord / Gaming Community & Creator Manager Duties
- Manage and moderate the program’s private Discord server, ensuring it remains welcoming, responsive, and aligned with brand culture
- Act as the primary point of contact for creators within Discord, providing program updates, opportunities, and engaging content such as exclusive previews and early-access materials
- Recruit, vet, and onboard creators into the program, aligning them with guidelines and expectations
- Build and maintain strong creator relationships through consistent communication and support, motivating them to remain engaged and aligned with program initiatives
- Coordinate the distribution of briefs, assets, and IP access to creators, ensuring timely and high-quality content development
- Track deliverables, review submissions, and provide structured feedback in collaboration with internal teams
- Monitor community sentiment, creator engagement, and campaign performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and conversions
- Troubleshoot issues within the server or campaigns, escalating to appropriate team members when necessary
- Develop recap reports highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations to inform leadership and support program growth
