The School of Communication & The Arts invites applications for various Part-Time Faculty positions for the 2025-2026 academic year. Opportunities to teach multiple/additional courses may become available. Successful candidates will teach, develop course materials, assist students as needed, and assess student work.

Position Title: Part-Time Faculty, Fashion

Department/School: School of Communication & the Arts

Salary/Pay Rate: $1,250 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters or Bachelors degree in an appropriate field, and/or Industry/professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous University level teaching experience.

Essential Functions: Opportunities are available to teach in one or more areas across several disciplines over time. Subject matter includes one or more of the following: Merchandise Planning and Control, Buying, History of Costume, Sustainability, Fashion Social Media, Apparel Studio Fundamentals. Teaching opportunities include undergraduate courses that may be available in both on-ground and online environments. Availability to teach during daytime hours is desired.

About the Department/School: The Fashion Program at Marist successfully prepares its students to enter the world of fashion and pursue careers in merchandising, planning, product development, retailing, operations, fashion promotion, event production, and a gamut of other employment opportunities.
