Join us at Lockheed Martin as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer - CAD Parts Librarian for the Electro Mechanical & ECAD Library team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Our team supports the creation, verification, and maintenance of electronic component libraries that enable rapid, high quality circuit board design across the organization.

Job Description: You will ensure that every library part is accurate, functional, and compliant with MFC standards. You will act as the primary liaison for ECAD library part requests, performing functional checks, and generating symbols and footprints that designers can trust. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Process and fulfill ECAD library part requests from engineering teams.
  • Perform functional verification of library parts to confirm correct behavior in simulation and layout tools.
  • Create and update schematic symbols and PCB footprints using Siemens Xpedition, adhering to the MFC Standard for symbol and footprint generation.
  • Maintain version control and documentation for all library components, ensuring traceability and compliance.
  • Collaborate with electro mechanical, hardware, and software engineers to capture new part data and resolve library related issues.
  • Conduct periodic audits of the library to identify obsolete or redundant parts and recommend cleanup actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to engineers on best practices for library usage and part selection.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that streamline library workflows and enhance data quality.

Why Join Us: We are looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment. In this role, you'll work alongside leading electro mechanical and ECAD experts, gain visibility across multiple missile and fire control programs, and directly contribute to the efficiency of our design processes. Lockheed Martin offers competitive compensation, flexible work schedules, comprehensive benefits, and a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous growth.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with library part creation within Xpedition.
  • Familiarity with additional PWB design/parts library software.
  • Knowledge of hardware development processes, including requirements definition, design, and test.
  • Experience with symbol and footprint generation standards and best practices.
