Bridge Designer / Senior Bridge Designer Location: Salt Lake City, UT • Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 / year Overview As a Bridge Designer at Horrocks, you will be responsible for all aspects of the structural design, layout and plan production on large multi-discipline transportation projects. Projects will include single- and multi-span bridges, complex retaining walls, and require close coordination with other disciplines (roadway, drainage, MOT, etc). The ideal candidate will also have mentorship skills to lead and train junior design and drafting staff. Responsibilities Leading the design for large, multi-structure transportation projects Be enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-disciplined to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers Develop designs in Power InRoads, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil3D Produce accurate output with a keen eye for aesthetics Manage project data files from various sources Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely Training and mentorship of junior CAD staff Manage workspaces and develop plan sets in ORD, including sheet creation and plan set development Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies 10+ years of relevant bridge design experience Associates degree or equivalent technical degree Knowledge of state DOT standards is a plus, but not required Familiarity with Power InRoads, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil3D Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally Ability to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities Professional, creative, team-focused individual who works well with others Mentoring skills and leadership mindset Why Work Here Competitive base salary and award-winning benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Generous paid time off 401(k): 50% match of contribution up to 6% Professional development opportunities including in-house training Paid professional organization membership and professional licensure Equal Opportunity Employer including disability and protected veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
