UIC invites nominations and applications for the role of Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Senior Vice President of the UI Foundation. This executive position leads UIC’s advancement enterprise, aligns philanthropic strategy with institutional priorities, and collaborates closely with the UI Foundation to maximize philanthropic impact. Responsibilities

Develop and implement data-driven philanthropic strategies to identify, cultivate, and steward major and principal gift prospects. Lead and mentor a diverse advancement team of approximately 120 FTE, building a high-performing, collaborative culture. Translate institutional priorities into meaningful fundraising opportunities and plan/execute major capital campaigns. Foster internal and external relationships with alumni, donors, faculty, staff, community partners, and stakeholders. Align UIC’s advancement goals with Foundation resources and infrastructure to ensure coordinated donor engagement, stewardship, and campaign execution. Work in partnership with university leadership and the Foundation to maximize fundraising impact and drive transformational growth. Qualifications

Proven track record of leading complex fundraising teams, preferably in higher education or academic medicine. Deep experience in major and principal gift strategy with demonstrated success in securing transformational gifts. Strategic thinker with the ability to align philanthropic planning with institutional priorities and inspire others. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across a broad range of stakeholders. Inspirational leader committed to team development and inclusive excellence. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution; minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience in a large, complex environment. Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $375,000 – $440,000. Salary commensurate with experience.
