About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Content Acquisitions to lead the evaluation, acquisition, and management of licensed programming for its television and streaming portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and negotiating deals for a variety of content, including SVOD, AVOD, and linear rights, with a focus on driving customer growth, engagement, and retention. This role requires a proactive and meticulous individual with a passion for television series, films, and emerging content formats. The VP will also be tasked with managing distributor relationships, overseeing budgets, and working closely with the Head of Content Acquisitions to propose innovative deal structures. Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience in content licensing within the television and streaming industries, with a preference for those with co-production experience and a strong network of domestic and international content distributors. The role demands a self-starter with strong business and financial acumen, the ability to form actionable recommendations, and a proven track record of managing a team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple projects. A Bachelor's degree is required, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. The VP will also be expected to have a keen instinct for successful content and the ability to acquire it ahead of competitors, as well as experience in negotiating revenue-sharing deals.
