Overview Wargame Designer role at Booz Allen Hamilton. This position is located in McLean, VA. Key Responsibilities Support the development of analytically defensible wargames, tabletop exercises (TTX), and seminar events for Department of Defense clients. Collaborate to ensure wargame adjudication methodologies are flexible to allow dynamic player action while accurately representing real-world military capabilities. Conduct research and analysis into warfighting and national security topics in support of analytic models and wargames. Ensure accurate representation of real-world military concepts of operations and doctrinal practices. Provide insight into game design problem sets and independently design discrete game systems that facilitate accurate game adjudication. Basic Qualifications 1+ years of experience working on professional wargames in an academic or professional environment Experience working in a client-facing environment Experience with complex commercial tabletop games and game mechanics Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of U.S. defense capabilities, joint warfighting capabilities, and tactics Top Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in an International Affairs, Political Science, National Security Policy, Applied Statistics, or Game Design field Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required. Compensation Salary range is provided; compensation determined by factors including location, education, experience, and organizational requirements.
