Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and three (3) years of full-time related work experience in conducting mental health promotion, education, or outreach and/or suicide prevention training. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Public Health, Higher Education, Social Work, or a related field, and additional years (4+) of full-time related work experience. Brief Description of Duties The Coordinator of Mental Health Promotion will deliver comprehensive outreach and intervention programs aimed at reducing the risks associated with suicide, increasing protective factors associated with positive mental health, and promoting overall wellness among students. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and assess data-driven and evidence-informed, population-level outreach throughout campus aimed at preventing suicide and associated risk factors and promoting positive mental health. Provide individual outreach and psychoeducation to students in need. Supervise peer education interns and student assistants within the Center for Prevention and Outreach. Collaborate with on and off-campus partners to ensure a large and effective impact. Professional Development and Committee Involvement Participates in opportunities that promote learning, growth, and development, and contributes to the Division of Student Affairs and Stony Brook University by attending and/or supporting events, activities, and programs. Special Notes This is a full-time appointment, and the salary range is $64,000-$67,000 + $4,000 Location Pay.
