Overview Senior Research Scientist - Radio Frequency Machine Learning (RFML) The program, led by Peraton Labs with external infrastructure support, conducts advanced research for the customer on a variety of topics, including cybersecurity, RF solutions, and quantum communications. Mission focus is on developing next-gen tools for detecting cyber-attacks, enhancing network resilience, and improving small-form factor sensor systems while maintaining a focus on cutting-edge technologies like machine learning and software-defined networking. Responsibilities The candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and prototyping of RF machine learning algorithms. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD Strong digital signal processing skills and RF domain knowledge. Expertise with modern machine learning development frameworks (e.g. Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch). History of conducting research in the Machine Learning and RF spectrum domains. This role will require 100% on-site work out of College Park, MD or Laurel, MD. Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Desired: Familiarity with common software defined radio platforms such as Ettus USRPs and software (e.g. GNU Radio) is beneficial.
