Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Artist to serve as a crucial link between the Art and Technical teams. This role involves collaborating closely with a multifaceted, interconnected team dedicated to crafting engaging systems and tools aimed at leveling up the Avatar experience.

About the Role

As a Technical Artist, you will bridge the gap between artists and engineers, focusing on developing and supporting procedural character-based systems, rigging assets, and providing technical support for the Avatar Art team. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the creation of innovative tools and workflows that enhance the Avatar experience.

Responsibilities

• Improve procedural character-based systems and workflows
• Rig assets for our Avatar system
• Provide technical support for the Avatar Art team
• Develop C++ based nodes for our proprietary system with AI assistance

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist or equivalent
• Solid rigging and pipeline-support background
• Experience building tools, UIs, and workflows for artists
• Experience with building dependency graph based procedural systems
• Experience with developing for a game engine (real-time environment, ideally AAA gaming)
• Proficiency in Python
• Proficiency in Maya
• Proficiency in C+
• Proficiency in USD
• Proficiency in Houdini
