Production Graphic Artist Job at AirCorps Aviation, Inc. in Bemidji

AirCorps Aviation is looking for an entry-level graphic designer who knows how to use Adobe software but is ready for real-world experience. The role involves producing printed artwork for AirCorps Aviation and its customers using various digital and production mediums. Responsibilities include collaborating with the internal graphic designer, fulfilling art orders, producing printed graphics, working with e-commerce platforms, entry-level design work for in-house projects, providing excellent customer service, and other duties to support the department and AirCorps Aviation. The ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines is essential.

Job Location: Bemidji (not a Remote job)

• This position is required to support the mission of AirCorps Art’s department: Producing authentic aviation markings for aircraft owners and creating inspired artwork for enthusiasts.
• Pick, pack, and ship art products, including apparel.
• Ability to create standardized prepress files and proofs.
• Ability to produce both small and large format printed graphics with a variety of methods and mediums on both small and large quantities.
• Confer with supervisor and clients in developing proofing materials for projects and products.
• Excellent internal/external customer relations and customer service.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and proofing.
• Ability to make subjective decisions regarding subject matter and projects.
• Operation of digital printing and vinyl cutting machines.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, pre-press and physical print production.
• This is a technical design position with limited creative opportunities.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Able to follow directions.
• Experience with producing various physical print media types, including: decals, paint masks, stencils, placards, posters, and digital products is helpful to this position.
• Required – Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and manage deadlines. Ability to work well with all levels of staff and the general public. Must have a working knowledge of Windows operating system, and the willingness to learn SignLab and other software platforms as needed.
• Experience working with digital printing and vinyl cutting machines is preferred, but not required.
• Work independently, troubleshoot software and print hardware issues, and perform large-format printer maintenance. Training provided.
• High attention to detail and willingness to ask questions.
• Creative, collaborative, and dependable.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Aviation industry experience is not required, but a passion for aviation is preferred.
• Adobe Creative Cloud experience (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Must be able to produce a recent digital art portfolio.

Education

• Background or pursuing degree in art, graphic design, or related field
• High school diploma or GED required

Compensation

$20-25/hr
