What you can expect to do in this role
Team Management
- Recruit, lead, motivate, and develop a high performing, diverse staff.
- Provide coaching, ongoing feedback, and light mediation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures by all staff.
Finance Management
- Own the property’s operating budget and manage financial performance.
- Use a property management system (e.g., Yardi) to generate and review reports, identify cost savings, and pursue revenue opportunities.
- Oversee customer collections and implement appropriate actions when necessary.
Property Management
- Maintain occupancy and rental rate strategies aligned with property goals.
- Prepare and conduct property inspections and tours for corporate or investor reviewers.
- Collaborate with on-site teams to welcome new residents.
Sales & Marketing
- Execute marketing programs per branding standards.
- Ensure property content is accurately represented on marketing assets (website, social media, etc.).
Customer Service
- Improve resident satisfaction through lease renewal strategies and retention plans.
- Act as a Fairfield ambassador by professionally addressing residents’ concerns.
What you’ll need on day one
- 3+ years of hands-on property management experience
- Multifamily property experience required
- Track record as a supervisor is preferred
- Strong understanding of financial statements (budget, P&L, GL) and budget maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with Yardi or other property management software
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local fair housing laws
- History of maintaining occupancy and NOI in multifamily properties
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Industry certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license may be required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and some holidays
Estimated Pay: $80,000 - $92,000 per year. This position is exempt; the range reflects base salary. The pay range may vary based on skills, location, and experience.
