Position Overview

The Digital Asset Librarian will structure and manage the digital asset library for Ashleys DAM system, manage copyright, licensing, and digital rights associated with assets, ensuring compliance; create, maintain, and enforce metadata standards, including taxonomy development and asset lifecycle management to ensure assets are relevant, easily searchable and discoverable within the DAM system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Structure and manage the digital asset library for Ashleys DAM system
  • Create, communicate, and help enforce processes and procedures to acquire proper files and appropriate metadata throughout the different user groups.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce metadata schema/standards, including taxonomy development so assets are easily searchable and discoverable within the DAM system.
  • Define and implement asset lifecycle management to ensure assets are relevant and the DAM system remains up to date.
  • Identify and train various asset creators and agencies to submit assets efficiently and effectively for integration into the system.
  • Manage copyright, licensing, and digital rights associated with assets.
  • Continuously provide ongoing training as needed.
  • Track performance and gather user feedback on a yearly basis to continue to improve the system, processes, and training.
  • Create and maintain supporting documentation for the system, policies and training sessions
  • Audit, monitor and report on asset rights/usage/restrictions and compliance to management team.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in library science, information science, or digital media management (or equivalent experience 5+ years working in a DAM platform)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong understandings of digital asset specs, meta data schemas, and file naming conventions
  • Cross-channel campaign and communication experience - the ability to communicate effectively, build bridges, and foster an inclusive and collaborative environment
  • Receptive to feedback and able to incorporate direction while maintaining creative integrity
  • Passionate about interior design, home décor, and creating meaningful customer experiences
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with other organizations in similar role
  • Write documentation and train on DAM related topics as needed
  • Simultaneously work on multiple projects with the ability to pivot and change direction as needed
  • Willing and able to travel within the US 3 to 6 times per year

Compensation: Salary Rate: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
