IB Language A: Language and Literature Tutor on the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. Tutor online from home with flexible scheduling, competitive rates, and the ability to impact students’ learning journeys.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring for IB Language A: Language and Literature.
• Adapt lessons to individual student needs and learning styles.
• Use the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions remotely and leverage available tools to enhance engagement.
• Invoicing and payment handling are managed through the platform; you invoice for sessions and receive payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in IB Language A: Language and Literature with clear concept explanations.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and/or graduate-level education.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour, with increases for specialized subjects and higher rates for recurring sessions with the same student (up to $40/hour).
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Remote tutoring via the platform—no commuting required.
• We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and payments are processed by the platform.
