The Colab is hiring: PR Manager - B2B Tech in Milwaukee

Salary Range: $90K - $110K/year

The Role

We’re looking for a PR Manager with 4–6 years of experience to join our team at The Colab. If you’ve cut your teeth at a mid-sized agency, know how to run with a pitch and land it, can manage account background materials in your sleep, and thrive in a fast-moving environment that actually respects your time (yes, for real), you’ll fit right in.

This role is ideal for someone who is a great team player looking to collaborate with a group that’s as sharp as it is supportive. We’re fully remote, allergic to micromanagement, and obsessed with doing great work while keeping things fun and drama-free.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building creative narratives, writing and sending smart pitches, and landing consistent media wins
• Managing media relationships (and making new ones) across tech, business, and vertical beats
• Tracking wins and campaign momentum in smart, clean reports
• Building media lists, creating briefing documents, project managing, organizing priorities, and keeping everything on track
• Supporting award and event submissions, including content development
• Drafting, reviewing, and editing bylines with our editorial team
• Spotting proactive media opps before they hit Twitter/X/Threads/the group chat
• Jumping into brainstorms, helping teammates, and pushing the work forward

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

• Have 4–6 years of agency experience, ideally at a mid-sized PR or comms firm
• Know the B2B tech media landscape cold
• Can interact with clients and internal teams with clarity, confidence, and warmth
• Love writing smart pitches and actually enjoy media outreach
• Are detail-obsessed, proactive, and know how to keep a deadline
• Want to grow in a place that invests in your career (and doesn’t burn you out)

Nice-to-Haves (but not required):

• Familiarity with tools like MuckRack, Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace
