Program and Location
We are growing our team in San Juan, PR and have multiple Early Careers full-time sales opportunities available. Join our team as a Sales Agent in the Sales Development Program. This inbound call role provides a competitive base salary and bonuses based on sales performance. Training is provided to prepare you for your role, and we will support you in obtaining the required state insurance licenses. No license is required prior to starting in the role. During training, new hires must complete the UHC Portfolio Agent New Hire training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material.
Work Schedule:
- Operating hours: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 9:00PM; shift will be provided during training with rotational weekend work
- Full-time position with flexibility based on the seasonality of the business
Work Location:
- Onsite training program in a standard day shift for 6 - 10 weeks
- Site location: Montehiedra Office Center - First floor- 9615 Ave Los Romeros San Juan, PR 00926

Compensation, Benefits & Perks
- As a licensed agent, total compensation is based on base pay plus monthly sales incentive
- Average first year earnings: $60K with base pay and commissions; top performers $80K+
- Sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 for external candidates (2k sign-on + 1k if licensed at time of offer)

Primary Responsibilities
- Mainly handling inbound calling; no door knocking
- Answer incoming calls from prospective members and identify needs to qualify leads and drive sales
- Ask questions and document information in computer systems while listening actively
- Use knowledge of the product portfolio to assess needs, explain differences, and help prospects select a suitable product
- May make outbound calls to follow up with members or review products and services with current members
- Assist the prospect in completing enrollment applications over the phone with accurate information
- Meet goals in performance, attendance, and customer experience
- Maintain licensure, appointments, and annual product certification requirements

Required Qualifications
- Currently in final year of obtaining a Bachelor's degree (or degree obtained no more than 24 months prior to start date). Degree must be obtained prior to start of employment
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Work or volunteer experience in sales, customer service, health care, or health insurance
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
