On-Call IT Field Technician & TV Configuration - Las Vegas, NV

We are seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to provide technical support for PCs, Macs, TVs, printers, and scanners. The ideal candidate will have experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving network problems, and configuring printers and scanners.

Location: Multiple U.S. Cities (Local, Onsite Support)
Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Pay: $40-$45/hour (on-site) + mileage reimbursement over 20 miles one way
Schedule: Flexible - You accept jobs based on your availability

This is an on-call, 1099 independent contractor role with no guaranteed hours. You'll join our technician network and receive job opportunities based on your location and stated availability.

About The Role

We're hiring field IT technicians who can confidently support a wide range of tech needs for residential and small business customers. This includes troubleshooting PCs and Macs, resolving network issues, and repairing or configuring printers/scanners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS systems
  • Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems
  • Set up or troubleshoot Wi-Fi and wired internet connections
  • Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.)
  • Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.)
  • Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity)
  • Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs)
  • Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media
  • Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested
  • Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post-service support
  • Document service visits and escalate complex issues as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of field IT support experience, including computer and printer work
  • Familiarity with Canon, HP, and other common printer brands
  • Knowledge of error code troubleshooting (e.g., Canon code 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts)
  • Experience with both Windows (10/11) and macOS troubleshooting
  • Must have personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.)
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Smartphone with camera and data for documentation and communication
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor
