Overview Dir - Ad Sales & Content Licensing Finance at AMC Networks. This position is a key member of the Commercial Revenue Finance team, supporting all aspects of AMC Networks pricing & sales forecasting, revenue analysis, and financial closes. The role offers exposure to Domestic Ad Sales and Content Licensing within AMC Networks (AMC, WE, Sundance, BBC, IFC and Digital properties including AVOD/FAST). The position will be responsible for managing and developing a team of two and will work closely with finance, pricing & inventory, sales, research, and accounting.
Job Responsibilities Manage and consolidate monthly forecasting, budget and long-range planning (LRP) processes along with management reporting for Domestic Advertising and Content Licensing Revenue
Prepare and report risks and opportunities related to Consolidated Ad Sales and Content Licensing Revenue and Expense Budget and Forecasts
Own and manage review of updates to Ad Sales Digital Revenue model for AMCN OLV, VOD, DAI, and AVOD/FAST partnerships
Review analysis and consolidation of Ad Sales Linear Revenue models across all networks
Work with sales team to manage content licensing forecast pipeline
Work with Content Distribution Team to manage TVOD/Home Video/Participations forecast, budget and LRP assumptions
Review Content Licensing contracts and ensure terms align with financial projections based on appropriate revenue recognition guidance
Support in preparation of the Board of Directors Budget presentations and quarterly reporting
Track and analyze trends of key Domestic Ad Sales metrics, including audience delivery and pricing, and analyze drivers of key variances
Oversee tracking and forecasting of spending by the Ad Sales group throughout all key financial cycles (Forecast, Budget, Monthly Closes and Estimates)
Coordinate and review the monthly close processes (reporting, accruals and reconciliations) for Ad Sales Revenue (e.g., digital revenue accrual, AVOD/FAST revenue shares, Make Good Liability, etc.)
Coordinate and review monthly close processes for Ad Sales Expenses (reporting, accruals and invoice reconciliations)
Support various financial operations tasks and inquiries (e.g., assisting with FAST/AVOD processes for platform launches)
Support cross-functional Commercial Revenue Deal Renewals through data preparation and analysis
Partner closely with P&I, Research and Sales teams
Provide ongoing support to VP-Commercial Revenue FP&A in fundamental reporting and analysis, and ad hoc tasks
Manage and develop a high-performing team of finance leaders
Qualifications (Required & Preferred) Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) in Business, Accounting, Finance or Mathematics
8 plus years finance experience
Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
Advanced Excel/PowerPoint and presentation skills
Experience with data visualization tools and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Essbase, etc.)
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of finance and accounting principles
Experience implementing and maintaining financial systems is a plus
Proven team player with the ability to take on different assignments/projects in a timely manner
Proven ability to alternate from detailed work to client/support team interaction seamlessly
Demonstrates ability to be detailed and process-oriented with strong analytical skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take the initiative in challenging situations
Ability to perform in-depth, detailed analyses and summarize key takeaways
