Position description The Department of Art at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for a lecturer position in Intermediate Video Art beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year. The successful candidate must have experience teaching Video Art and will be expected to teach an intermediate course in video. Preparation and development of course, materials (e.g., syllabus and assignments) will be done in consultation with the Department to ensure that the range of skills is compatible with the Department's expectations of intermediate video (e.g., techniques, concepts, and processes), and to align with the Department's educational objectives and standards. The successful candidate will devise engaging course materials that foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical proficiency among students.
