Working with the Westerner Broadcaster, Producer/Director, Graphics Operator, Camera Operators and the opposing team's broadcaster, the Sideline Reporter livestreams all the team's home games on ESPN+ and The NECBL Network.

The Sideline Reporter is responsible for delivering thoughtful and interesting special reports by both prior recording and live during the game. Segments can include manager, coach or player interviews, special guest interviews, intern or volunteer interviews/profiles or anything else our viewers may find interesting. Creativity is encouraged.

Recorded reports should also be posted to the Westerners' Instagram, Facebook and YouTube pages.

In addition, the sideline reporter will be called upon to provide updates about things happening in the game or around the ballpark that add to the viewers understanding of the game, such as injury updates or who is warming up in the bullpen. After Westerner victories, they will be responsible for the post-game interview of the player of the game and the manager which will be broadcast on the livestream and over the public address system.

The Broadcaster and Sideline Reporter may collaborate on a pre-game show.

The Sideline Reporter must work closely with the rest of the broadcast team to ensure our livestream remains among the most professional in the NECBL.

The Sideline Reporter will need to use their own equipment (camera, wireless mic, tripod) to create pre-recorded segments. They will need to use their own computer and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, FinalCut Pro or similar).

The ideal candidate will have broadcast reporting experience and an in-depth knowledge of baseball.

This is a volunteer position. Housing is not provided.
