The temporary Clinical Content Specialist is responsible for assisting with and/or completing projects related to content creation for the Clinical Genetic Services and Medical Affairs team related to Natera products. They are expected to work across departments to integrate clinical knowledge and expertise.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Clinical Content team with the development of patient/provider education materials for customers/patients across all Natera products, focusing on carrier screening.
Research genetic conditions and translate knowledge into patient-friendly summaries.
Collaborate with other genetic counselors and with physicians in editing educational materials.
This role could work with PHI both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent degree.
Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics.
Three or more years of clinical and/or laboratory experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
Experience with creation of patient education materials preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
In-depth technical understanding of Natera’s products.
Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work independently AND collaborate with team members.
Motivated to be creative and brainstorm innovative solutions.
Familiarity with Google and Microsoft suite of work products.
A desire to work for a dynamic and growing molecular genetics laboratory and manage growth for optimal success.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Job duties are performed in the employee’s home office; office space should be private and have internet access. Position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed or online material.
