A Brief Overview

Support the IT & Operational unit within the ERM team in identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks that may affect the bank’s objectives.

What you’ll do

· Assist in internal/external regulatory examinations.

· Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across compliance, Information Technology, and operational domain.

· Maintain and update the enterprise risk register and risk appetite metrics.

· Prepare risk dashboards, heat maps, and executive-level reports for senior management and board committees.

· Contribute to special projects as assigned by the Unit Manager, Unit Director, or CRO.

· Support quarterly risk reviews and annual risk appetite statements.

· Analyze emerging risks, including macroeconomic, geopolitical, and regulatory developments.

· Review third-party contracts and business proposals, coordinating with team members on risk analysis as needed.

· Promote risk awareness and training across departments.

· Facilitate risk workshops and interviews with business units to gather qualitative and quantitative insights

· Ensure consistency and integration of risk practices across business lines.

· Support business continuity planning and risk mitigation strategies.

· Utilize tools such as Excel, Power Point, Visio, Power BI, and GRC platforms to analyze and visualize risk data.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Formal Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
• Preferred Fraud Risk Examiner (FRE).

Knowledge and Experience

• 1-2 years work experience in Finance, Banking, Internal Controls, Banking Products, Risk Management and Reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication (oral/written), in Spanish and English.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and ERM frameworks.
• Proficiency in risk management software and data visualization tools, including Microsoft Apps.
• Problem Solving & Decision-Making, develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Adaptability & Collaboration, work across departments and respond to evolving market and regulatory conditions.
