Design, develop, analyze, and maintain software systems that meet industry, customer and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards. Complete software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues and opportunities; integrate and deploy mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle. Perform code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards. Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution for software systems. Develop user documentation and training to educate end users about the usage of software products. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, including ability to review performance issues, identify root causes, recommend direction, and develop solutions for optimal performance. Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code within the existing codebase, ensuring alignment with established architecture and coding standards. Work under general direction. Experience and Qualifications To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required Education and Years of Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in engineering or computer science and 5+ years of related experience OR Master's degree from an accredited program in engineering or computer science and 3+ years of related experience Required Qualifications Active Secret clearance 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering 3+ years of experience with web-based development, leveraging ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS 3+ years of experience with RESTful APIs Experience identifying security vulnerabilities within source code Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, computer science, or related discipline 5+ years of experience with open-source software 3+ years with object-oriented programming (Java) 3+ years of experience troubleshooting software and network integration during platform deployments Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices; experience supporting Government security requirements for software delivery involving system accreditation Experience working in an Agile software development environment utilizing Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) or similar What makes BI&A different BI&A offers a small company environment with the backing of a large corporation, supporting global missions with intelligence, analytics and cyber solutions.
