Our client, a leading game development studio, is urgently looking for a skilled Mid-Level Technical Artist. We need someone who can jump in immediately to create and implement stunning visual effects and destruction systems for a new, unannounced title.
This role is perfect for a proactive artist with a strong command of modern game development tools. You'll play a crucial part in enhancing gameplay and immersion by crafting high-quality, performant effects.

Salary: $120,000 - 150,000 per year

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain tools, scripts, and workflows to accelerate artist iteration and reduce integration overhead.
Partner with engineers and artists to profile, debug, and optimize rendering, physics, and content pipelines across platforms.
Establish best practices and provide technical guidance to the art teams.
Architect and implement real-time VFX and simulation systems using Niagara, Chaos, and procedural pipelines.
Qualifications: 5+ years in game development with a focus on Technical Art, VFX, or real-time simulation systems.
Advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine (Niagara, Chaos, Blueprints, Materials).
Strong background with Houdini for procedural asset and effect generation.
Proven ability to optimize performance of complex simulations and content pipelines.
Shipped at least one AAA title in a technical art role.
Nice to Have: Experience with shader development (HLSL, GLSL, or Unreal materials).
Familiarity with profiling/debugging tools (RenderDoc, PIX, Unreal Insights).
Knowledge of cross-platform optimization strategies (console, PC).
