We are seeking a User Experience Designer (individual contributor) to help us create a simple, modern wealth management platform that enables efficiency and personalized experiences for our Financial Service Professionals. Through close partnership with product owners and business stakeholders in our Sales and Service organizations, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing digital experiences that elevate the rep experience.

Your primary focus will be on translating strategic insights into actionable experience concepts by defining the structure, flow, and content of the solution. Additionally, you will visualize design ideas through interactive prototypes that communicate the intended user experience, helping to align teams, gather feedback, and guide development. You will facilitate alignment and decision-making across business stakeholders, product owners, and technology partners, requiring excellent relationship management and executive presence.

What you are good at:

Design Management

Sets expectations with the project team and prioritize activities

Creates and maintain design schedules

Communicates status and agreements with project team

Reviews work with UX managers, keep them updated on project status and escalates items appropriately

Design Expertise and Execution

Facilitates collaborative design sessions including sketching and ideation

Takes a systematic approach to designing interfaces, ensuring consistency across experiences

Creates design artifacts (sketch, user flows, service blueprints, journey maps, wireframes, or prototypes) with a multi-faceted team, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work together

Effectively and succulently articulates design solutions with business partners, leading reviews and driving decisions, understanding that great designs are achieved iteratively

Participates and supports research efforts

Commits to improving our process and methods with an emphasis on both effectiveness and efficiency

Teamwork, Collaboration and Engagement

Enthusiastic about solving complex problems

Shows up for their colleagues, product team members, and business partners with a team-first, can-do attitude

Collaborates with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to craft solutions that meet business objectives and user needs while falling with technical constraints

Listens to feedback and help guide the delivery

Evolving design mindset that is not rigidly fixed when presented with new information

What you have

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of design experience on digital products and in a financial services environment with in-depth understanding of technology applications, business architecture, client and representative experience, and project management

Solid designs skills rooted in user centered design practices with a good understanding of frameworks such as Jobs-to-be-Done and Behavioral Economics

Experience working with and designing for the Salesforce ecosystem

Background in Enterprise Environments, Business and IT Strategy, Agile, Lean, Process Design, Program Management, Customer Relationship Management processes and technologies

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Demonstrated ability to communicate design rationale that connects user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility

Ability to track and manage multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Good understanding and/or experience with financial services regulations

BA/BFA

Knowledge of Schwab products, services and support systems

Knowledge of Agile methods and processes

Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.

Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
