As part of the Product team, the technical writer works to create documentation for Novarad’s software products. The Technical Writer position supports our product end-users by creating clear, thorough, and accurate software user manuals and other documents. In addition, this position compiles documentation into different formats, such as upgrade packets, for customer use and does some training on the content.

What You’ll Do:
Develop customer facing documents for both external and internal purposes through the following processes:
- Understanding documentation requirements by collaborating with software developers and programmers
- Developing writing strategies by identifying the aspects of each system that need supporting documentation
- Developing writing plans by establishing standards, priorities, sequences, and schedules
- Selecting photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate system elements or supporting principles important to comprehending system capabilities
- Preparing documentation by converting technical descriptions into user-understandable language
- Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and standardization
- Improve documentation by evaluating frequently asked questions and internal experts and external users
- Enhance organization reputation by innovating and building brand equity across the industry
- Attend regular training to maintain skills essential to job performance
- Complete priority tasks as they are assigned
- Understand and fulfill the requirements of the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Assist with company training.
Who We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, technical writing, communications, journalism, English or a related discipline.
· 2+ years relevant experience
· Ability to understand the user interface and capabilities of technical software quickly and thoroughly
· Ability to work with a test case tracking system
· Technical writing skills
· High attention to detail
· Must be able to work within deadlines
· Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Strong verbal communication skills
· Experience developing technical documents
