Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Architect with a focus on federal projects to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading architectural design processes, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines, and delivering high-quality construction documents. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant projects that contribute to the community and environment while promoting sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural design process for federal projects from concept through completion.
  • Prepare and oversee construction documents and specifications to ensure compliance with federal standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to define project requirements and objectives.
  • Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for design and documentation purposes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to monitor progress and compliance during construction phases.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to sustainability standards and pursue LEED certification when applicable.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on best practices in architectural design and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Architect with AIA and NCARB certifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, particularly in federal projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong understanding of construction documentation processes and federal regulations.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices and LEED accreditation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
